Thanks Larry. I was trying to photograph a mountain of feed corn but couldn’t get the composition right. You know the saying that mountains are mountains right?
Thanks Chandra, you know I was very surprised that several people liked it. I came very close to deleting it with the 50 others I took of a pile of corn. Practice makes perfect I guess.
Really enjoy the tonality and mood. Nicely done!

Thanks, it was an impulse shot that turned out better than expected.

Sometimes it’s interesting to act spontaneous, isn’t it?

Thanks Jane, here in Lancaster you can (theoretically) pull into a driveway of an Amish farmer and wander around his property with camera in hand. 😉

The darkness is beautiful until it kills you.
Great shot, Mike! I’m in love with corns in black and white.

There’s something about the darkness and the fine details of the corn (kernels). It’s really a “wow” shot. I’m glad you didn’t toss it.

In a last ditch effort I used a Lightroom preset to create this effect (don’t tell anyone).
