Thanks for sharing (and such a good photo, too!). LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Thanks you, the best part was the people staring at me scratching their head. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Here here! My sentiments, exactly (and these seem to have seen some good wear :)) Dawn LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Thanks Dawn. I got a very long explanation of the making of horseshoes from an Amish man and a few close calls to a kick in the head. Not to mention the people asking me why I was taking pictures of the horses feet! A fantastic morning overall. 🙂 LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Great experience! Sounds memorable!!!! :)) LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Its not the first time I’ve done it but I think it may be the last-a kick in the head might be a problem. 🙂 LikeLiked by 1 person Reply :)) You got that right! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply I was asking someone about that yesterday and he said they occasionally do it but they don’t mean it. I bet they mean it once in a while! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply I had a nasty mule kick to my head years ago that nearly made me a vegetable. (This mule had a terrible reputation, and stupid me gave it a go to trim its hooves.) Not unheard of to be killed in this way. (I got 12 stitches that day to sew my ear back on.) Fortunately, most domesticated horses are kinder and safer to work around than that one bad mule :)) The lessons we learn as we go on in life . . . Beware the mule! I absolutely adore it. 😀 LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Thanks Cee I appreciate that. Actually I was horsing around different horses for two hours. LikeLike Reply I like the 2 different color legs! And the little ant (?) hitching a free ride. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Its a fly actually. The weather is so hot here the owner told me the horses will be taking the rest of the week off from pulling buggies for tourists. I didn’t even notice the legs until I got home. Your horse and boots picture is hysterical! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply It’s been hot here too. Mine are either ridden in the early mornings or not at all.
