The Strange Pull Written by Mike Ross Pull “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. Thanks. LikeLike Reply excellent capture and quote! hmm, what will happen if this guy let go? 🙂 LikeLike Reply Thanks Markus. Nothing would happen because as far as I can tell its either a brake or the reverse gear lever. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply I really like the quotes you share here. Interesting that the photo comes first. For me, the quote comes first and I find a pic to suit it, or at least I try to. LikeLike Reply Thanks Amanda. I’m retired so I’m out every day shooting whatever catches my eye. I think maybe a quote gives the photo more meaning than just a photo of horses or whatever. They also reflect my mood at the time. LikeLike Reply Indeed. Quotes are reflective of the thoughts in one’s head. A quote can ‘find you’ metaphorically speaking. And be just what you need to hear at that time. LikeLike Reply If I hear any more voices in my head I’m going to get an estimate for a lobotomy. 🙂 LikeLike Reply Lol. Don’t do that. Tell them to shhh. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply Are you suggesting that the mind is its own place and in itself, can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven? Because at the funny farm that was a popular topic. LikeLike Reply I think it is a christian construct which has been interpreted to be a ‘place,’ but its more a state of your mindset. I know of a few priests that do not believe it actually exists. What did they conclude at the ‘farm?’ LikeLike Reply Except for the guy who tried to beat himself to death, we all concluded that life is but a dream. LikeLike Oh dear. He must have been greatly disturbed in his mind to do that. LikeLike Either that or he didn’t like the food. As to a personal hell its all an illusion, including our concept of the self. As one teacher said: No Self-No Problem. LikeLike I can imagine throwing a tanty over hospital type food! Agree. Hell is just a concept. What did the teacher mean? LikeLike Well Amanda, I’m too far from Australia to come over and discuss it with you although that would be fantastic! Here is an excerpt from his book of the same title: https://www.ramdass.org/anam-thubten-rinpoche-and-no-self-no-problem/ LikeLike Looks like it will be a long read. I will check it out. Thanks for the link. LikeLike You’re welcome. The print is small, for me anyway so if you press control and the + sign you can make it larger.
